Job description: Our client, one of the island's leading shipping agencies and maritime service providers, is now looking for an accountant.
The main responsibilities of this role will be:
- Posting of purchase invoices and credit notes
- Reconciliation of creditor declarations
- Distribution of debtors' payments
- Preparation of debtors' bank deposits
- Reconciliation of sales department cash receipts containing cash/checks and expenses and allocation of cash/check payments from the same debtors
- Tracking debtors' payments by sending bank statements and following up by communicating via email and/or telephone calls
- Verification of the profits and losses of individual trips/transactions
- Opening the mail and distributing it to the respective recipients
Plus other ad hoc office tasks as required.
Priority will be given to candidates who are already in Malta or have work and residence permits/rights in Malta.
