Job description: We now have a vacancy as a bartender and waiter in the cocktail bar. This person will support the Food & Beverage Manager in a leading food and beverage establishment, as well as the Food & Beverage department in the preparation, blending, and serving and sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and foods in the facility, including fine dining, private catering, including offsite events, concerts, concessions and the restaurant.

Basic Duties and Obligations

The following duties will be assigned as directed by the Director/Food & Beverage Manager/Banquet Captain

  • Reports to work at the appointed time in proper uniform
  • Follows instructions from Food & Beverage Managers and Captains for each event
  • Set up and dismantle, count stand sheets, inventory as needed, and maintain all designated bars and bar kits
  • Assist in collecting, polishing, and setting up all bar equipment, including merchandise, equipment, glassware, and serving utensils
  • Serves alcohol in accordance with facility policy
  • Handles all forms of payment and inventory in accordance with company policy. sells all food and beverage and retail items as directed by managers
  • Completes assigned paperwork carefully
  • Works in all catering, concessions, food trucks, golf rental and restaurant businesses
  • Possible off-site catering events
  • Helps prepare side dishes, bar sets, drinks, condiments, etc.
  • Assists in cleaning all banquet equipment, including assigned cleaning and deep cleaning equipment and bars
  • Manage logistics for delivery of all bar supplies to potential events and outlets, including preparation and set-up of event space and dining area as required
  • Prepares and assembles beverage supplies as directed by the Food & Beverage Manager and/or Banquet Captain
  • Disposes of trash into proper container before, during, and after events as directed by Manager
  • Ensure bar and beverage areas are kept hygienic and clean for guests before and after events
  • Attends pre-event meetings to discuss event details and any line-ups by managers or captains
  • Returns rod (if applicable) when supplies are needed
  • Creates reserve inventory per manager prior to the event
  • Consistently provides guests and colleagues with friendly and courteous customer service
  • Remains at assigned station and performs assigned tasks as assigned
  • Reports any customer service and/or complaints to the Banquet Captain and/or F&B Managers
  • Disassembles equipment after each event and ensures it is clean for the next day
  • Cleans all serving pieces and returns them to their designated storage area
  • Adheres to strict company grooming standards and guidelines
  • Flows service standards, procedures and policies.
  • Deliver, set up and dismantle all equipment and food and beverages assigned to future functions and all outlets
  • Deep cleaning as assigned
  • Cleans all banquet tableware efficiently and safely
  • Removes debris from potential banquet areas after events are ready for the next day
  • Takes trash to proper containers and uses proper disposal methods for trash and composting containers
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect equipment as assigned
  • Fast in counting and simple arithmetic
  • Follows all food safety instructions, laws and service guidelines
  • Notifies management when alcohol service-related issues arise according to training
  • Works efficiently with a production schedule to meet business needs for all event spaces as directed by F&B leadership
  • Provides superior service to guests, temporary employees and colleagues
  • Train and supervise employees/temporary workers under his supervision
  • Assists with opening, closing, and end-of-month inventory counts as well as assigned tasks
  • Assists with year-end inventory and equipment counts and maintains and organizes all merchandise in its proper storage area
  • Sets up substations and completes ancillary work before events
  • Ensures that a disinfectant bucket always has the correct dilution
  • Ensures all products are properly packaged, labeled and dated
  • Operates equipment (coffee, tea, bar equipment) in accordance with use and safety instructions
  • Keeps the work area clean, organized and hygienic
  • Cleans and organizes workstation at end of shift to ensure safety guidelines are followed and booth/station is ready for the next shift
  • Applies FIFO (First in First Out) to all products to ensure proper rotation
  • Attends food production meetings as directed
  • Performs all specialized work as assigned
  • Leads by example, represents with a polite and determined attitude
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage and/or F&B Manager
