Job description: A Malta-based group of companies operating multiple online casino and sportsbook brands, is looking for a Junior Compliance Officer to join their growing operation. Having been operational for more than 10 years, this is a very well-established company with a clear set of objectives, offering great opportunities to their diverse team of staff-members.
The Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting the compliance team and the role is very urgent. Start date ASAP.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist with AML requirements set forth by the authorities
- Perform risk assessment of existing and new players
- Carry out Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
- Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Sanction list checks
- Evaluate and identify suspicious behaviour
- Investigate and report suspicious transactions
- Respond to escalations from the Support Team in a timely manner
Requirements
- 2 years experience working in a similar role(support/payments/fraud/risk)
- Experience within the iGaming industry would be considered a great plus!
- Hold a certification in AML/CFT
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken (C1/C2)
- Have integrity and professional ethics with strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- You have a keen eye for detail and are able to organise and analyse data
- You are able to consider commercial implications, while keeping within regulatory requirements
- You are a multitasker who can prioritise and manage work effectively and efficiently
- You are driven and able to work on your own initiative, whilst being a great team player
- You are always eager to learn and deliver on expectations and achieve personal objectives at all times

- This role is hybrid with an office based in Gzira, Malta
- Working hours: Flex office hours Mon-Fri
- Salary €30-35K depending on experience
