Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced accountant for their dynamic iGaming business based in their Sliema office. This role is critical to maintaining their financial health and requires a deep understanding of both general accounting practices and specific knowledge of the iGaming industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cross-company reconciliations
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Monitor financial transactions with Xero accounting software.
- Posting supplier invoices, reconciling bank statements and issuing payments.
- Manage banking relationships and transactions.
- Work with external accounting firms to obtain specialized accounting and consulting services.
- Conduct white label arbitration, review affiliate discrepancies, and manage affiliate invoices.
- Oversee payroll processes
- Preparing sales tax returns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA, ACA or similar qualification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
- An organized and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with cross-functional teams
- Qualified accountant with experience in companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, PWC or similar.
- Certificate from a public notary.
- Previous experience as an accountant in the iGaming industry is crucial.
- A balance of strong accounting skills and industry-specific knowledge.
