Job description: We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in the construction sector. The mechanical engineer monitors our customer's operations and ensures that production meets quality standards.
ABOUT OUR CUSTOMER
Our client is a company specializing in the construction and manufacturing of building materials based in Naxxar, Malta.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the production manager in implementing and improving the process.
- Review and redesign production plans, processes and specifications to maximize production efficiency.
- Ensuring product and quality process meet required specifications.
- Design control system.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop production standards.
- Prepares inventory analysis and procurement related to production operations.
- Training staff for the new process implemented.
- Ensures work processes are secure and addresses safety issues and concerns.
- Creates process documentation and reports.
- Work with technical writers to prepare client and client proposals.
- Lead and/or Support Technician.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- At least two years of professional experience.
- Advanced knowledge of production processes and standards in the areas.
- Good knowledge of the Maltese language.
- Project management skills.
- Organizational, planning and documentation skills.
- Problem solving and critical thinking.
- Attention to detail.
- Time management.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at different stages simultaneously.
EDUCATION
A degree in mechanical engineering.
WORKING HOURS
Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an hour break.
