Job description: We are looking for semi-qualified accountants to join our client's team. This is an excellent opportunity for the candidate to pursue a career in finance. Working with a high level of autonomy, you will ensure processes are managed effectively, whilst providing effective and efficient financial management services and support to a portfolio of accounting clients.
ABOUT OUR CUSTOMER
Our client is an auditing and consulting company with a wide range of financial services services and is based in Birkirkara.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare reports, documentation and correspondence under supervision of supervisor.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in accounting and auditing.
- Consult with supervisors regarding issues identified during the review phase and investigate those issues.
- Identifying legal and regulatory changes in the auditing field.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the company's audit approach and the theory behind it.
- Building a close working relationship with your client.
- Maintain regular contact with accounting staff during the assignment.
- Complete smaller orders independently and process a small number of orders at the same time.
- Creation of exam planning documents for your own tasks that cover relevant topics.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- The ideal candidate will preferably have one or two years of comparable professional experience.
- Knowledge of Sage 50 is considered a desirable requirement.
- The role requires a well-organized and mature individual.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask and work in a team.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
At least the equivalent of the founding phase of ACCA.
WORKING HOURS
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. / 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (other start and end times must be approved in advance).
- Reduced break – The break will be shortened from 60 minutes to 30 minutes (11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.).
- Opening hours in August: 7:00 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. with a 15-minute break at 11:30 a.m.
- Hybrid working hours – 1 or 2 days per week from home.
PAY AND BENEFITS
- 23,000 – 26,000 EUR per year.
- ACCA – Training and examination reimbursement (excluding any repeat courses).
- Salary increase for every ACCA exam passed.
- Study leave – 5 days + exam day.
