Google is expanding ‘Google Screened’ local service ads to a wider range of businesses
Google’s Local Service Ads (LSA) is a simplified pay-per-lead program that focuses on local businesses in specific industries. To join this program, businesses must go through a rigorous screening process that involves submitting their insurance, license, certification, and degree details. The submitted documents are then thoroughly scrutinized through a background check to ensure their accuracy and confirm that the company is in good standing.
Additionally, a business must have a verified Google My Business listing with a review score of 3.0 or higher. Once all the necessary processes are complete, the business is approved and added to Google’s LSA dashboard, allowing its brand name to appear in the coveted LSA Carousel.
Google currently offers two types of Local Service Ads: Google Screened and Google Guaranteed. The Google Screened program caters to professional services like architects, lawyers, real estate agents, and tax specialists to help them establish a trusted online reputation. It was in beta testing until now.
On the other hand, Google Guaranteed covers almost all home services industries such as plumbers, carpet cleaners, electricians, HVAC professionals, and more. Services that cannot exceed $2000 per Google profile are backed by a money-back guarantee.
