Position overview: Nordic Sports Trader
Betsson Group offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Nordic sports retailer to integrate seamlessly into our valued sports betting team. Set amidst Malta's vibrant backdrop, this exclusive opening serves as a gateway to one of the most exciting industries. Additionally, this role puts you at the epicenter of action in the sun-drenched Mediterranean, where Malta is considered a bustling global hub for betting and gaming.
Main advantages:
This role sits within our sports betting department, with a particular focus on the Nordic Sports team. It includes the crucial responsibility of exchanging games in different leagues around the world, providing an engaging and dynamic work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Create pre-match odds and conduct live match trading on a variety of sporting events, with a focus on Nordic leagues and winter sports.
- Execute market settlements as required.
- Monitor and analyze customer engagement and prepare reports for the Customer Risk Analyst team.
- Manage risks effectively, respond to market changes in a timely manner and make accurate decisions. Collaborate with external trading providers.
- Drive a cohesive approach by collaborating with the sports betting and marketing teams, ensuring the continuous improvement of Betsson's product and online offerings.
Your responsibilities when shifting risk include:
- In collaboration with the customer care team, provide second-line customer support through various communication channels.
- Monitor odds fluctuations and incoming bets using various monitoring tools.
- Evaluate and process incoming betting requests manually.
- Immediately report any suspected fraudulent betting activity to the Risk Manager and Payments/Fraud Department.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of understanding sports betting products.
- A comprehensive knowledge base about Nordic sports and winter sports.
- Strong mathematical skills, including a sound understanding of statistics and probability.
- Knowledge of computer skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to think quickly and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated positivity, sociability and the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively as required.
- Commitment, responsibility and a proactive approach.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including outside of working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Previous knowledge of independently compiling quotas is an advantage, but not absolutely necessary.
Bonus qualification:
- Previous knowledge of sports betting or comparable activities.
