PG Group’s warped concept of democracy

Arnold Cassola - Independent Candidate

The PG Group yesterday issued a statement stating that “PG Group is of the view that business organisations of its size should support the country’s democratic process, and that this includes ensuring the proper funding of the main political parties which enjoy the overwhelming support of the Maltese electorate,” the company said. “To this end the Group donated the sum of €10,000 both to the PL and to the PN prior to the 2022 election.”

What an idiotic statement

Arnold Cassola stated: “PG have just declared that they are the typical amoral business people, who invest in both PN and PL to ensure that they can make hay while the sun shines, whichever of the two parties is in power.

In my particular case, it is a question of “sopra corna, bastonate”. Being myself a PG shareholder, the company is basically using my own money to finance my political adversaries.

As if it were not enough to have the Maltese state using my and other taxpayers’ money to finance political crooks like Joseph Muscat and political bazuzli like Kurt Farrugia.

Since they are so keen on “enhancing” the democratic process in Malta, can the PG group let us know if by any chance they are offering privileged and/or discounted berthing rates at the Ragusa Yacht Marina to Maltese PL and PN politicians, including Prime Minister Robert Abela”?
