Job description: An established hospitality group has approached GRS Recruitment Malta to recruit a Senior Accounts Executive for its Finance department in Sliema. This is a new role and the selected candidate will report to the Financial Controller, manage internal/external communications, assist with reconciliations, support record keeping, prepare financial reports, complete payment runs and ensure smooth office operations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitoring the timely booking of all invoices and payments.
Processing bank transfers.
Billing of third-party rents according to agreement.
Maintaining a database to ensure records are complete and current.
Assist in the preparation of general ledger accounts, including monitoring and reconciling balance sheet items.
Updating ledgers, researching and resolving discrepancies.
Compliance with all company procedures and accounting principles.
Responding to supplier, customer and internal inquiries.
Assistance with end-of-year audit inquiries. Assistance with the review process request.
Assist the department with day-to-day tasks and additional administrative tasks that may arise from time to time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
As this is an urgent position, the selected candidate should be local.
Has excellent oral and written communication skills in both Maltese and English languages.
At least one year of experience in a similar position is a must.
An Advanced Diploma in Accounting or ACCA Level F4 is a must.
